Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 14, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how StreamSaathi handles information when users connect supported creator accounts and use the StreamSaathi Windows desktop application.
1. Information StreamSaathi accesses
When you connect your Google/YouTube account using Google OAuth, StreamSaathi may access information and permissions required for the features you choose to use, including:
- Your authenticated YouTube channel identity and channel information.
- Information required to identify an active live stream.
- YouTube live-chat messages and related live-chat data.
- Permissions needed to send live-chat messages or perform user-initiated moderation actions where supported.
2. Why this data is used
Google/YouTube data is used only to provide StreamSaathi’s user-facing creator features, including connecting the user’s YouTube channel, displaying live chat, sending messages when requested by the user, and performing supported moderation actions initiated or configured by the user.
3. OAuth tokens and local storage
StreamSaathi uses OAuth tokens to maintain the user’s authorized connection. On Windows, locally stored authentication material is protected using operating-system-protected storage associated with the signed-in Windows user. StreamSaathi does not intentionally display OAuth access tokens or refresh tokens in the application UI.
4. Sharing and sale of data
StreamSaathi does not sell Google user data. StreamSaathi does not use Google user data for advertising, data brokerage, or unrelated profiling. Data is not shared with third parties except where required to provide the requested service, comply with law, protect users, or interact with the platform APIs selected by the user.
5. Google API Services User Data Policy
StreamSaathi’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
6. Disconnecting and revoking access
Users can disconnect their YouTube account from within StreamSaathi. Disconnecting removes the locally stored StreamSaathi authorization state for that connection. Users can also manage or revoke third-party access from their Google Account security settings.
7. Data retention
StreamSaathi retains only the information reasonably necessary to provide the features the user enables, maintain local application functionality, satisfy security or legal obligations, and troubleshoot issues. Where data is stored locally, the user can remove local application data by disconnecting supported accounts and/or uninstalling the application, subject to operating-system and backup behavior.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical safeguards designed to protect authentication data and application information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
9. Children
StreamSaathi is intended for users who are legally able to operate and manage the connected creator accounts and is not directed to children under the age required by applicable law.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as StreamSaathi evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
